Ron Ouellette successfully led business developer teams in the United States and International Aerospace, Defense and Security markets. He demonstrated strategic planning, business development, key account management and strategic partnerships. His vision and exceptional personal skills helped companies formulate growth strategies and develop enterprise opportunities.
Ron Ouellette recently served as the Air Defense Advisor to the Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq and the Government of Iraq in Baghdad. During his tenure, he advised the Department of State and Department of Defense agency representatives in Iraq on the air defense capabilities for the Government of Iraq to establish their airspace sovereignty in their geographical boundaries. He assisted the Government of Iraq in developing a $2.4B Foreign Military Sales case.
Before serving in Iraq, Ron Ouellette was the Director of Business Development for iRobot where he led a customer-focused campaign to interface with senior U.S. Army staff, building trust and product confidence. He developed aggressive capture processes, trained engineers and program managers to focus on Department of Defense client needs and directed strategic partnerships to ensure growth.
Prior to joining iRobot, Ron Ouellette was a business development leader for Raytheon, Network Centric Systems and Integrated Defense Systems where he formulated cross company, integrated strategies in network centric operations, cruise missile defense and defeating IEDs.
Before joining Raytheon, Ron Ouellette served 30 years in the U.S. Army, in Europe, Korea and throughout the United States in a variety of command and staff positions. He served as a faculty member at the U.S. Army War College educating senior leaders on joint doctrine, campaign planning, advanced warfighting, command and control, and military space operations. He served as the Deputy Assistant Commandant and Chief of Staff at the U.S Army Air Defense Center and Fort Bliss, Texas where he was responsible for all aspects of air and missile defense combat and training development. He was assigned to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command where he served in multiple positions as the Director of Strategic Planning; the Training and Doctrine Command System Manager for National Missile Defense; and finally as the Chief of Staff. He was an active leader integrating doctrine, organization, training, materiel development, leader development and education, people and facilities requirements of the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and Joint Commands in the space and missile defense business.
Ron Ouellette holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Providence College. He attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College and completed the National Securities Studies Program at the Maxwell School of Government at Syracuse University. He is a graduate of the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management.
Ron Ouellette is a member of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA), and Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).
